In 2005 I achieved a long held dream, to become a Marriage Celebrant. I am a firm believer in maintaining a high level of professionalism within the wedding industry. From the time I became a Marriage Celebrant, I have been a member of a professional association, currently the Australian Marriage Celebrants Incorporated. This keeps me up to date with the latest changes and news in the marriage celebrants world. I am also a member of the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA) and at the time of writing this, I have been named the "Queensland Celebrant of the Year" on two occasions. Last year was the second time I have taken out this award. Former brides and grooms are the ones who vote and I am eternally grateful to have couples who are so happy with my work. I have also taken out the title of Runner-up for the Australian title. Needless to say, you would know what my next goal is. I am passionate about working with couples to create their very own ceremony, to celebrate their special day, their special way, be it the wedding ceremony, renewal of vows, commitment or naming ceremony. I have a wide range of readings, poems and vows. Some couples source their own while others write their own. With plenty to choose from, we work together to create that special ceremony.
