Each is tailored, bespoke, special – damn it, each one is the O.G.! Be warned though, I’m a nosey parker. I like to meet, chat, ask tonnes of questions and really get to know you, what makes you tick - your story. This helps me deliver your ideal ceremony. I take my role as ‘wedding-day-wing-chick’ very seriously. A few important things about me; • I’m all about inclusivity and diversity • Love is love is love – in all shapes and forms • Laughter is the short distance between people I adore humour in ceremonies. Laughter takes away the nerves and really brings everyone ‘into the room’. The trick is to find balance with ‘the feels’ and laughter. Your ceremony will completely set the tone for what’s next, whatever that is. It builds the energy, keeps the love flowing and celebrations go to the next level. That’s why it’s important get to know you both. To know how YOU want to feel on your wedding day and how you want your GUESTS to feel is key. I work with the venue, vendors and anyone else to get the party started, striving to make your reception is seamless and fun. Right until you stumble out of there and off to your happily ever after. I am a marriage celebrant and event MC with years of experience working on loads of different events. I am BUSTING to make your wedding ceremony or special event fun, unique and one you will never forget. Why did I become a civil celebrant? I’m glad you asked. When the marriage equality plebiscite (or “plebishite”) was happening I got into a ‘discussion’ with someone and got so frustrated I ended the conversation with “Well I’m just going to become a celebrant and marry ANYONE who wants to get married – so take that!”. Now I owe that person a beer as it was the best decision I ever made (and I think I won the argument). I love using my event experience and getting to ‘couple’ that (do not excuse that pun) with my love of public speaking and crafting a great speech. I know how to wrangle and engage a crowd and take them on a journey. But my favourite part of this job is getting to know you and your love story so I can craft a bespoke ceremony, one that will live on long after the wedding cake. One that will make you laugh while also making your heart skip a beat. What’s my mantra? “Life is short, break the rules. Forgive quickly, kiss slowly. Love truly. The booking fee is $250 which remains non refundable. The balance is not due until one month before the ceremony. If a couple need to date change and move I don't charge a change fee unless its greater than 12 months out. There are no restrictions on re-booking UNLESS I am already booked. If we can't find a new date together then its just the $250 that is forfeited. If anything else has been paid I will gladly refund that amount upon discussion.
