Sharon & Mark

The kiwi girl Sharon met at a bar, Mark met at an Ice rink and whom is responsible for this love story. Prue and Steve introduced the bride and groom on a minus 32C night in a bar in Calgary. Sharon did not want to be at a bar on a Sunday night for Prue's work Party.... but Prue laid down the guilt trip and convinced her to come. She left Sharon at the bar that night with a wink at Mark and the statement 'you take care of this one, she's a winner'. Mark placed a big kiss on Sharons cheek and said 'I will". Years later they find their lives mirroring each others in the same country only an hour apart with 3 children each the same age and a friendship that is unbreakable. Prue will be by Sharons side as side as her Maid of Honour.

Jessica and Sharon became instant friends on the day that Sharon interviewed for a job at the transplant program in Salt Lake City. Jessica became Sharon's American sister, always looking out for her and making sure she was kept busy and excited by life. Working in that teeny office together created some of the best days of Sharons life. As was expected in a relationship where 2 people moved countries and straight in together without knowing each other, there were some ups and downs. Jess helped the couple through these times ensuring these two strong willed stubborn people came together and stayed together. Sharon and Mark became special forever friends with Jessica and her husband Luke. Jess will be joining Sharon as a very special Bridesmaid.

Sharon called from a prenatal class in NZ to the USA (yes Mark travelled from NZ to the USA to avoid prenatal classes!) to inform Mark she had found his newest best friend. Full of charisma and sarcasm Declan and Mark fell in love at first sight. Very pregnant Sharon and Sacha smiled at each other feeling relieved they no longer had to drag their partners to these classes. Declan helped Mark navigate the stress of being a first-time dad and vice versa. Although a country away they speak weekly on Facetime, visit each other and are always there to give each other a hand when they can. He will stand next to Mark as his best man.

Tom and Mark have been forever friends, often confused as bothers, since school. Despite long periods of not speaking or seeing each other, every time they do its like no time has passed. Tom is deserving of providing mark with 'pay back' from his conduct at his own wedding. In spite of the high-risk Tom is such an important part of Marks life bringing Mark support and happiness, so will stand with Mark as his groomsman on his wedding day.
