FAQs
We have put together a list of questions and answers to save you time.
1. What time should I arrive?
We ask that you arrive before 3:30, the ceremony will start shortly after.
2. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place? Is parking available?
Everything is taking place in one location, Herralea Farms. You will be able to park in the front field on the left hand side.
3. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be taking place outside. The reception will take place in a tent on the farm, so please bring something to keep you warm in the evening.
4. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. Please keep in mind that you will be walking on grass, so wear appropriate footwear.
5. What will the weather be like this time of year?
Early September tends to be hot during the day and cooler at night, we recommended bringing something to keep you warm after the sun goes down.
6. What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby. Guests can head straight to the reception area where there will be lawn games and beverages served.
7. When is the RSVP deadline?
We kindly ask that you RSVP before July 28, 2023. You can RSVP online, under the RSVP section - just search your name.
8. What should I do if I can’t make it?
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
9. Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event (with the exception of our ring bearers and flower girls). We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
10. Can I bring a date?
Unfortunately no, while we would love for them to be there our wedding is RSVP only, and we can only accommodate those listed on your invitation.
11. Can I stay at the farm?
While we don't have any additional space inside, we have a ton of outdoor space. Please feel free to pitch a tent, or bring an RV/trailer to stay the night. If you decide to bring a RV/trailer let Gerrit or Sarah know so we can let you know where to park.
12. Do you have a hotel block for guests?
We absolutely do, please see the accommodations section for all information.
13. Will there be cabs available?
Unfortunately there are little to no cabs available in our area. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD. We have hotel accommodation options available or you can plan to stay the night in a tent/trailer.
