Can I bring a plus 1?
No. Unfortunately neither the venue or our budget can allow for more guests than the ones that are invited. While we wish we could have everyone dear to us at the wedding it is simply not possible.
Can we bring campervan?
Yes, cars and campervans are possible to park on the camping area so feel free to spend your night however you like it! :)
Can we bring our kids?
We love kids and you are more than welcome to bring them. We will organise entertainment and food for the evening, however, they are still your responsibility.
What is the dresscode?
Summer formal. Its summer, its going to be hot (hopefully), its a happy day and its partially outdoors. So keep it light and colourful but also classy. Maybe avoid stilettos so you don't get caught in the grass ;)
Is the wedding BYO?
Yes! We will supply with plenty of drinks for the ceremony and dinner but after that it is BYO.
What can we do in Hawkes Bay?
We know everyone is traveling a long way to celebrate with us (and we are so grateful for that!) so here are some tips about stuff to do in and around Hawkes Bay.
Napier is the tourist capital of Hawkes Bay, famous for its Art-Deco architecture. From here you can hire bikes and go for scenic tours or wine trails. Stroll along the marine parade and visit the National Aquarium of New Zealand. Eat and drink at lots of nice restaurants and cafés. Head out to Bluff Hill for some amazing views.
New Zealand is famous for its wine, and Hawkes Bay with its 70+ vineyards, is definitely on the top list for wine regions. There are so many to choose from but our personal favourites are Craggy Range, Mission Estate Winery and Decibel Wines.
Further out from Hawkes Bay we have Cape Kidnappers. Amazing scenery, massive colony of gannet birds and for our keen golfers, Cape kidnappers golf course. Said to be one of the worlds best international golf courses.
If the weather allows and you fancy a swim, Waimarama Beach is beautiful for swimming, fishing and surfing.
