Marianne & Matthew

Matt and Marianne met over brunch in London in September 2018 and owe their meeting to Tinder. Marianne was not looking for anything serious but quickly found herself charmed by Matt. His monotone voice, dry humour and patient nature did the trick! After surviving their first road trip together in 2020 in Canada, they later decided that it was safe to move in together. The very next day, the pandemic swept in and secured the move with a lock-down. They have since travelled to some amazing places together, which they managed to enjoy despite Matt’s driving - and Marianne's incessant back-seat driving. Matt has become a stepfather to Mr. T, although Marianne is still Mr. T’s firm number 1. Matt proposed to Marianne on September 27th 2023 at her favourite place in England - the beautiful Lake District. Marianne was initially not thrilled to be hiking up Helvellyn mountain at 6am in the morning during a storm, but was motivated by Matt's scrambled eggs and coffee. And upon receiving a ring at the top she was fortunately willing to accept the offer of marriage. Matt, Marianne and Mr. T moved to Oslo in January 2024. Eight months later, they welcomed Mr. T’s little sister to the family – Tana, the Portuguese Waterdog. Together, they are all loving their new way of life in Oslo, and can’t wait to get married and celebrate with their friends and family!
