Mehndi Night
Come join us at our first wedding event. The mehndi night will be a chance for guests to gather, enjoy some food and drinks, and have their Mehndi (henna) done on their palms if they wish. There's no itinerary or specific events happening, so join us at your convenience and enjoy the company.
Shuttle service to the event will be offered from the Hilton Garden Inn as well as the Winston Churchill Blvd Carpool Lot (details to come). Parking at the hotel will be subject to availability (it is a public Green P Lot).
Attire: Semiformal, with short sleeves recommended. Try to avoid wearing white, as it will be stained by henna.

Dress Code
We recognize that many of our guests are unfamiliar with Hindu wedding traditions, so please never hesitate to ask if something is unclear. Guests are welcome to wear either Indian or Western attire to any event, in whichever colours you are most comfortable - Hindu weddings are typically very colourful!
Things to do in Toronto
Guests are welcome to fly into either Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) or Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ), both of which are well connected to transit and our suggested accommodations. Please see our Accommodations section for tips on moving between the city, hotels and the events.
Some of our favourite places to visit downtown include Trinity-Bellwoods, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and Koreatown at Christie Pits - where we got engaged! Food-wise, we love Khao San Road, Sunny's Chinese (reservation needed) and Kinka Izakaya. For drinks and a night out, you can't go wrong with The Shameful Tiki, 416 Snack Bar or Civil Liberties.
Accommodations
We have arranged for a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn at a rate of $80/night (plus tax) for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This location is conveniently located near YYZ/Pearson Airport. Guests wishing to travel downtown from this hotel are able to access the UP Express train service from the airport via the hotel's complimentary shuttle, or could choose to ride an Uber to Kipling TTC subway or Long Branch GO Station.
