Our Love Story
Joe and Jackie met at their workplace, two souls following the rhythms of their daily lives, their worlds only occasionally interacting with polite greetings. Joe, the cheerful bus driver with an ever-present smile, and she, the school special teacher assistant, each carried their own stories. But fate, as it often does, had other plans. Joe's friend, Kadi, sensing an unspoken connection, decided to play matchmaker. She orchestrated a simple exchange of telephone numbers, sparking a subtle shift in their universe. She conveyed her feelings, stating that friendship was all that could ever be between them. However, as they conversed and spent time together, something magical happened. Love blossomed. Joe's innate kindness and her compassionate nature drew them together, creating a bond that transcended their initial friendship. Both shared a deep commitment to family, a shared value that fortified their connection. Their love story was one of unexpected beauty, a testament to the power of taking chances on love. Today, they stand before us, united by a love that defied their own expectations. Their journey reminds us all that love has a way of finding us when we least anticipate it. As we gather to celebrate their union, let us be inspired by the message of their story: that love, when given a chance, can flourish into a beautiful and enduring forever adventure.

Is there parking available at the venue?
The hotel provides a car park for guests. However, we recommend avoiding parking on the high street and instead suggest using the rear entrance to the hotel, where parking is available. Cock Hotel, 72-74 High St, Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes MK11 1AH
Are children allowed at the wedding?
While we have included the children we are expecting on each household invitation, we understand that weddings can be less enjoyable for children in an adult environment. Therefore, we kindly ask for your understanding as we limit children's attendance to ensure the grownups can fully enjoy the celebration.
Will there be vegetarian/vegan options available for meals?
We are offering a buffet-style meal with various options, including vegetarian and vegan-friendly choices. However, we cannot guarantee a halal meat option as the meal preparation will be coordinated by the hotel, not by us personally.
What time does the ceremony/reception start?
The ceremony is reserved for family only, reflecting the intimate nature of the occasion. We look forward to celebrating with all our friends at the reception. If you're not a family member, please head straight to the Cock Hotel at 4 pm for the reception.
Is there a gift registry for the couple?
We have set up a space on our website for our honeymoon wish list. As we already have our home set up, contributions towards our honeymoon would be greatly appreciated. However, please note that this is not mandatory.
Are there any nearby accommodations you recommend?
We have provided some accommodation options within Milton Keynes, but ultimately, we trust our guests to choose accommodation that suits them best. Additionally, with Monday the 26th being a bank holiday, it's an opportunity for some of you to enjoy an extended weekend.
Is there a dress code for the wedding?
Absolutely not! The only guideline is for each of our guests to feel comfortable and enjoy the day with us in their preferred style.
