How It All Began...
For those who don't know, Bonnie and Alexander have a very unique love story. They met spontaneously in Brisbane's Southbank on the evening of the 25th February, 2021. During one of Alex's first few weeks living in Brisbane, he thought it would be a good idea to walk through Southbank one evening. As Alex wasn't particularly familiar with the city yet, when his phone ran out of battery and he became "lost" he needed help. As it would happen, Bonnie was walking through Southbank after enjoying a bubble tea, minding her own business. Alex spotted Bonnie walking along the promenade, thinking to himself how incredibly beautiful Bonnie looked. She was totally glowing. So naturally, after subconsciously staring for a little while, (not in a creepy way) Alex decided that she would be the perfect person to ask for directions. When Alex approached Bonnie and said hello, it must be mentioned that Bonnie was completely star-struck by Alex's good-looks. Bonnie chose not to disclose that she had inherited her father's sense of direction and boldly led him on a 6 hour journey 5km from the intended destination. However, this seemingly honest mistake was a blessing in disguise. The love-struck pair ended up walking and talking for hours on end. They didn't know where they were going, but they each knew that they were in good company and didn't want to stop. They didn't realise at the time, but they had been walking for over four hours until they reached the West End ferry terminal where they hopped on a ferry across to Guyatt Park. There, they lay in the grass and got to know each other some more, almost falling asleep at one point. The rest, is history. From that day on, Bonnie and Alex have been completely inseparable. The connection between Bonnie and Alex has been very strong from the moment they met, and continues to grow stronger to this day.
Wedding Party
Meet our lovely family and friends who will stand by the sides of the bride and groom on the big day.
Maddison
Older sister to the bride and one of two maids of honour, Maddison is the organised one, whipping out the spreadsheets to begin wedding planning the moment Bonnie and Alex got engaged.
Nicholas
Nicholas "best man" McRae and the groom share an unmatched bond in their brotherhood. Nicholas has always stood by Alexander's side, and will again on this special day, (likely supplying tissues as required).
Ruby
Younger sister to the bride and second maid of honour, Ruby will always stand by Bonnie's side with a dozen suggestions for potential bridesmaid dresses, provide entertainment, and most importantly, give her opinion.
Nya
Nya and Bonnie have been close friends since their first day of school. Her contagious smile and unwavering friendship with the bride make her an irreplaceable member of the bridal party.
Breanna
Bonnie and Breanna have known each other their whole lives. They are like two peas in a pod and have a tendency to forget certain details from their adventures together. As luck would have it - what one forgets, the other remembers - so when together, they never forget anything.
Tayla
Tayla and Bonnie's friendship is one that weaves laughter, fun and support together. Her infectious personality and kind heart make her an integral part of the bridal party.
