They’re not wrong! While they may not be for everyone, hosting your wedding on a day other than Saturday is seriously worth considering.

Traditionally, weekends have always been the most popular days for weddings but there’s a growing trend of couples getting married during the week. This just goes to show that they are much more popular than they were a decade or so ago. Despite what many people assume, it’s not just because they’re cheaper (though frequently they are!). If you have your heart set on a particular fine art wedding photographer, or awesome brass band, they are much more likely to have your midweek wedding date available. Just because you’re getting married in the week doesn’t mean you can’t curate your ultimate dream team of wedding suppliers!

As previously mentioned there could be some pretty big financial benefits when choosing to get married on a weekday. Most venues offer a discount or bespoke package which may only be available during the week. Opting for midweek won’t just be kinder on your budget, your guests can often save money on their travel and accommodation if booked outside of peak times. Win win for everyone!
