Our Story
Devin and I met back in November 2016. As soon as I seen him I knew he was the one! Before we knew it, weeks rolled into months, then months rolled into years. Along came such a perfect baby boy and in February 2021, we got engaged!
Accommodation Information
We are so happy that so many of you are flying/driving in to be part of our special day! That being said we know how expensive traveling can get. Everyone will be welcome to stay at camp! We will have direction signs put up for anyone who doesn't know how to get there. Bring in your camper, pop up your tent or camp out under the stars! If you'd like to stay intown you are more than welcome -- see some hotel recommendations below:
Who's Invited?
Everyone is invited! You are more then welcome to bring your child(ren), but please note we will be in the bush. Hence there is no limitations of where they can go and wander. We ask that you please remember that you are responsible to watch your child(ren). We will have some games and designated stuff they can do, but we all know children get bored.
A Note on Gifts
An exciting time is coming our way, and we can’t wait for you to share our special day! We do but have just one request, and that’s for you to be our guest. We don’t expect presents or gifts galore, Laughter and fun is the aim of the day, so no amount of presents will take this away. We have our pots, we have our pans but what we need is a helping hand So for you we have another request, after a year of planning a wedding…. we need a rest! If a gift however you’d like to give, then please think of us A honeymoon is just what we need, so a donation would be gratefully received But don’t forget above the rest, we just want you to be our guest!
Menu
We are having a Pig Roast! Roasted right at camp! There will be many sides and desserts served along side the main course, but if you wish to bring your own food, you are more than welcome. WE WILL BE HAVING A LATE NIGHT NACHO BAR!
Beverages
Alcoholic Beverages : BYOB! Everyone is welcome to bring what ever alcoholic beverage they'd like. We will be providing some wine and champagne. Non-Alcoholic Beverages : We will be providing different varieties of juice, pop, water and other non-alcoholic beverages.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code in particular as long as you don't show up wearing white. There will be a brief period between the Ceremony and the Reception where everyone will be able to head home, change, and grab whatever they are planning to bring to the Reception.
What should I bring?
As the reception will be done in the bush we've created a small list of things you may want to bring with you. - Sun Screen - Bug Spray - Swim Suit - Comfy Shoes - Comfy Clothes to wear after the reception. - Cooler + Ice - Tent/Camper & Bedding - And anything else you think you'll need.
Activities
YAY! Since we will be at camp for the reception there is so much we can do! Fires, Games, Dancing, Eating and overall just having so much fun! Did I mention we could also go for a late night swim? Don't forget your swim suits! Are you planning on staying in Timmins for the weekend after the wedding? Here's a few things you can do: Cedar Meadows- If you're looking for something to do on the weekend with your little ones Cedar Meadows has an amazing wildlife tour! You get to feed the animals and have them come right up to you while you're on the buggy. Parks & Splash Pads- You can bring your kiddo's to this park intown, they also have a splash pad!
Additional Important Information
Please note that the Reception is being held at camp. We will be completely in the bush. - There is no working toilets- we will have porta-potties. - There is no electricity- we will be using generators. - There is no running water- so make sure to bring your own.
