Our Story
Adam remembers meeting Jenny first while moving into his freshman college dorm where Jenny was the floor Resident Assistant. Although Adam blurs into the many faces Jenny met that day, Jenny does remember days later, when she responded to a report of a student who set up a homemade rope swing in a large tree. While Jenny was filling out incident report paperwork and Adam was disassembling the swing, Adam added brightly “Also, I think you’re my RA!”
As their college friend groups formed Jenny and Adam found themselves hanging out more and more often, always the two friends most interested in a weekend rock climbing trip or a late night pot of coffee. They were there for each other through highs and lows, and years later they planned a climbing trip with another college friend (Hi Robert!). After that trip they started talking on the phone, but Adam lived in California and Jenny in Texas, and neither of them could quite believe the turn this friendship was taking. Less than 6 months later Adam moved to Texas and they both knew they’d be getting married.
After two cross country moves, two years in Washington, and two homes purchased, please join these two as they make it official and celebrate their love and commitment to each other.
Wait, two homes? Technically yes, but only one is livable. In February 2025 Jenny and Adam first laid eyes on the 10 acres that would become their farm. Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade mountains, at the end of a long and winding dirt road with apple, cherry, and plum trees, towering evergreens, and countless outbuildings in disrepair, the location was perfect and the price was right. What followed has been a whirlwind of demolition, concrete work, framing, plumbing, gardening, and more, and they are so excited to share the magic of the farm with their guests on their special day.
Currently under construction is a cabin, and in the planning stage is a shop building. In the next few years Jenny and Adam hope to start construction on a home. Wish them luck!
