Are the wedding ceremony and the reception at the same venue?
Yes, both the ceremony and reception will be held at our farm in Monroe. The ceremony will be down the hill in the forest, with a golf cart ride if you'd like to avoid the 0.25 mile hike. The reception will be under a tent in a field at the top of the hill.
Will there be dinner?
Yes, dinner will be served after the ceremony. When you RSVP you will be asked about any dietary restrictions and preferences. Any concerns please email adamjennybooks@gmail.com
What if I challenge the groom to single combat in hopes of winning the bride's hand for myself?
You will be met in your challenge and struck down by the sword before the congregation, and dishonored in the eyes of the lord.
What weather should I expect?
June weather in western Washington can range from warm and sunny to cold and rainy, potentially between 50 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit, so please be prepared to dress comfortably for a range of conditions. The ground will likely still be muddy, and close-toed shoes or boots are highly encouraged.
What is the dress code?
The entire event is outdoors and your comfort is our biggest priority. Beyond that, Jenny will be wearing a big fancy dress and Adam will be wearing a suit, but the couple asks that you dress in smart casual attire. Sweaters, buttondowns, sportcoats, dark jeans, trousers, and sundresses are welcome and will fit in perfectly, and boots of any kind are recommended for the terrain. Please avoid ripped jeans (unless it happens on site), graphic tees, and open-toed shoes.
Is 4WD required to get up the driveway?
No, but courage is. A Honda Fit has made it up the way, but not one operated by a driver faint of heart. Despite numerous false allegations, we have never had to put a vehicle that was not towing a large load in to 4WD to get it up the hill in any conditions.
