We start with a casual coffee with you and your partner (or a wine if you're keen!) and we chat to get to know each other. We discuss your wedding day plans, what you envision your day to be like and everything photography related too! I find having a relationship with your photographer makes the entire wedding photography process so much more rewarding and fun. I have a photo-journalistic approach to my wedding photography and I absolutely love capturing all the candid moments that often get forgotten. The laughs, the tears and all the happiness throughout the day. These are the memories that you will have forever.

Back in 2006 I lost a very important person in my life - my grandfather, Colvil. I had a close relationship with Colvil. As I get older and I continue to grow, I feel as if our lives aligned more and more in all sorts of ways. I remember his compassion and love for our family, and how he valued spending time with them. He always gave me one of those bear hugs, you know the kind of hug where your back sort of hurt afterwards? Those hugs. I look back at photos of Colvil and I every now and then. Quite often I feel as if I'm back with him for a small moment. So many happy, fun and loving memories come flooding back. I love those photos for that reason which is exactly what fuels my passion and love for photography. I love my memories and I will cherish them for as long as I'm alive. Photos enable me to do that. I'm married to the love of my life Michelle Jean, who is addicted to making things that sparkle (Bluebell Design). We have a gorgeous little girl, Violet Ivy, who I take way to many photos of because she is so damn cute. Our house is somewhat of a menagerie (as my dad would say) with our three birds (two sparrows that I saved eight years ago and one extra loud and extra obnoxious rainbow lorikeet) and a white wolf-like pooch who I love teasing with our hose and lawn mower. I love my coffee, and I'm very particular about what type of coffee (none of that instant crap thanks). Red wine is a favourite of mine, especially if its partnered with cheese and olives. I studied photography at university with no real intention at the time of becoming a wedding photographer. All I knew is that I loved my memories and how photos make me feel. Not long after uni I got a taste of wedding photography. That was it. That was my turning point and the realisation that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Wedding days bring so much joy and happiness to the world. It's as if all the negativity in our day to day life gets lost for a little while we're all here to celebrate and show love and compassion for one another.
