Hey, I’m Pete, a young Melbourne wedding celebrant and MC who creates relaxed, chilled out and easy-going wedding ceremonies. Your ceremony should be the highlight that starts your wedding day where your friends and family will be in stitches and tears as I share your story in an authentic and engaging way, hilarious yet with sentiment. Equally, preparing the ceremony can be an easy experience and with me it looks like this: We Meet Confirm I’m who you expect after watching weddings I’ve done on YouTube, reading couples reviews and listening to my ‘The Wedding Guide Podcast’ before you make any decisions. The Story Begins Whether it’s at a bar or over Zoom we start the legal documents that I handle and organise the entire way through. Once I learn all there is to know about your story I begin all the behind the scenes writing for your unique ceremony. After you review what I plan to say, I’ll memorise it and be ready for the day. The Big Day Get ready Muriel, the ceremony will be better than what you hoped for; natural, entertaining and engaging. It’s all about family life for me; my wife Grace and three adorable (tho crazy) daughters live on the doorstep of the Yarra Valley. I absolutely love listening to podcasts (so much so I started my own: The Wedding Guide Podcast), audiobooks (fantasy, sci-fi, psychology and health mainly) and dabble in a few hobbies of beer making, gin distilling, bee keeping, cycling, gaming and Netflix’ing…that can be a hobby right? I originally moved down from Sydney over a decade ago to live my dream as a youth pastor – while doing that, I changed, my worldview changed and I wanted to branch out from the 4 walls I’d known so comfortably. The skills I left with were years of public speaker training, from a group of 20 – 400 was a regular week in MC'ing and teaching. Understandly I didn’t want to throw those skills out the window to go and work for someone else and was thankfully directed by another celebrant to consider being the role.

The deposit is non-refundable, however if need be I don't charge extra fees to change the ceremony date if the cause is COVID-19 related. I've had 28 successful date transfers for couples impacted by COVID and only had to cancel with one couple; they didn't get a refund as I'd already done all the legal and story preparation work except the ceremony.
