So you are thinking about engaging me as your celebrant or recommending me to a friend. I’m about to learn a whole lot about you so I think it is only fair that I share a few details about myself.
Star Sign - Taurus
Hobbies - Camping, Photography, Scuba Diving, Exploring the world
Favourite Food - Dark chocolate, Blue Castello cheese on biscuits with quince paste, anything Thai (the spicer the better), and toast with Vegemite.
Favourite Drinks - Wine wine and more wine. Especially mulled wine in the winter around a campfire
Favourite Quote - Life is like a CAMERA ... FOCUS on what’s important, CAPTURE the good times, DEVELOP from the negatives, And if things don’t work out TAKE ANOTHER SHOT
What did you aspire to be when you ‘grew up’? I wanted to be a reporter on a travel show
How did you meet your husband - He was a long time friend of my sisters and my dad’s resident Mr Fix-it guy for all things computers. My sister said to me when out wedding dress shopping for her ‘you and Jarrad would make a good couple’. I had never looked at him like that ... until then. I then invited myself to his birthday party and cheekily suggested that he come over and help us paint my sisters house the next day (which he did and boy did that impress me). A week later we got together at my sisters wedding. Jarrad then says that I came over to his house one day and never left! We got engaged on Kangaroo Island and married in Bali 5 years later. Honeymoon in Antarctica.
Dream Holiday Destination - Back to Antarctica but this time incorporating South Georgia.
Down Time - Breakfast at a local café with my family, camping in the Flinders Ranges, watching TV (love my Home and Away), and getting a massage.
Best wedding day tips - If like me you are photography obsessed have a think about the type of shots you want your photographer to capture, and TELL THEM, they are not mind readers. I missed out on some key pre-wedding shots with my family, sister and bridal party because I was so caught up in the moment I didn't even consider what shots were and weren’t being taken. I only noticed the absence of shots that I really wanted when I got the photos back, too late then.
