Frequently Asked Questions
The Venue We will be having both our ceremony and reception at The Granary, Founders Park. 87 Atawhai Drive, Nelson, New Zealand Can I bring kids? As much as we love your little ones, we ask that they please stay home. Our wedding is an adults-only event and will NOT be suitable for children. We hope this gives the parents an opportunity to have a fun night out as well. Can I bring a plus one? We ask that you only RSVP for those who are addressed on the invitation. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any additional guests who are there on the day. How do I RSVP? Please click on the RSVP tab at the top of the page and type in your name, select your name where you can submit your response for you and anyone else who may be on your invitation. Please note if we do not receive your RSVP by Sunday 8th October 2023, we will have to assume you are not attending. We do appreciate you submitting your RSVP in a timely manner as we do have to give final guest counts to our wedding vendors. Is there parking at the venue? Yes, there is free parking on site available to you until 10am the next morning. What should I wear? The dress code is summer formal. This could be dress pants, button-down shirts or a blouse, suit jackets, or blazers with tie's optional, mid/full-length dresses, and heels or dress shoes. We please ask that you refrain from wearing jeans, hoodies, crop tops, sneakers, etc. If you are unsure, please check out the Pinterest Inspiration board at the bottom of page Can I take photos? We will be having an unplugged ceremony. This means you won't be able to use any phones, cameras, or other devices to take photos or record during the ceremony. We have an amazing photographer & videographer capturing this special moment for us and want to see everyone's faces rather than phones. We are excited to share the photos and video with you all as soon as we have them. After the ceremony, we encourage you to take as many photos as you can. What time should I be there? The ceremony starts at 5pm, we recommend you be there by 4:50pm. Once the ceremony begins, we won't be able to let any guests into the wedding until it has finished. Doors will be opening from 4:30pm. Please note: Founders Park is open to the public until 4:30pm. Will the wedding be indoor or outdoor? Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors. In the event of rain, we will have everything indoors. Should I buy a gift? Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, should you wish to give us a gift, we would greatly appreciate cash contributions to put towards our home and honeymoon. We have also created a small gift registry linked below.
