Maid of Honor. Elizabeth and Hannah have been BFFs since Hannah's birth. As if time-honored love isn't enough to bind them together, Hannah and Elizabeth have the shared trauma of doing PhDs at similar times. Nothing connects you quite like crying over data and dissertations...

Matron of Honor. Emily did Hannah the tradition-maintaining favor of getting married first, granting the simplicity of having a maid and matron of honor (thanks Em!). Also besties since Hannah's birth, Emily and Hannah grew up doing ballet together, which may or may not be surprising to anyone who's met and experienced the coordination of either of the two.

Bridesmaid. Hannah and Camille became fast friends in middle school, when Camille and her family moved across the country to land smack across the street from Hannah. Hannah and Camille do not take nearly enough photos together, which probably stems from the time they did a self-directed photoshoot together at 15 and found the whole thing so cringeworthy they vowed never to do it again. Hopefully this event can rectify this.

Bridesmaid. Madeline and Hannah met their very first day of Engineering 101. They designed a robot together for their class project, and fortunately their friendship was not doomed to fail like their robot was. They later redeemed themselves with an (innovative and successful) airplane design for their senior design capstone, and their friendship has soared to new heights since.

Bridesmaid. Casey and Hannah met on the basketball court and have not stopped injuring themselves together in the years that followed. Through climbing, hiking, biking, and living together, they are tried and true adventure buddies. Fortunately for Hannah, Casey stays calm in a crisis.

Brother.

La Bestia ("The Beast") is a freight train that starts its route in Chiapas state in southern Mexico, near the border of Guatemala. Stay off the tracks when La Bestia is on the move.
