Jade
Our beautiful, amazing Bride and Kallah. Jadey has been preparing for this day her whole life—wearing ballgowns at every opportunity and dreaming of her King Charming. Now, the fairy tale is finally coming true! While she may (or may not) have outgrown the tiaras, her love for a grand entrance remains strong. With her kindness, warm heart and fearless South African spirit, Jadey is so excited to be surrounded by family and friends and can’t wait to marry her perfect match and live happily ever after—ideally with plenty of cake.
Adam
Our handsome Groom and Chattan. Hands up, who is only here because they actually never thought the day would come that Adam would get married and to see it with their own eyes. In case you didn’t know, Adam is a Chartered Accountant originally from Plymouth and has made Golders Green his home. Extra points will be available on the day if you can explain what Adam does for a living. Adam has promised to put down his tennis racket and turn off the Argyle highlights during the wedding.
Viv & Clive
The most wonderful parents we could ask for—Viv and Clive are the heart and soul of our family. Viv, with her creative spirit and boundless warmth, has spent her life inspiring others as an artist and teacher, while Clive’s wisdom, humour, and unwavering support have shaped us in more ways than we can count. Together, they’ve taught us the true meaning of love, family, and generosity. We are so lucky to have them by our side on this special journey.
Vivi
Why only have one Viv when you can have two. Vivi is Adam’s mum and currently lives in Somerset with her lovely husband Pete. Vivi is best known for cooking, gardening and knitting. Adam is known to take kosher food back to Somerset and return with frozen bags of chicken soup, meat balls and cheese filo’s. If you are in need of a new hat or scarf for next winter, please introduce yourself and put in your order. Vivi will be supporting Adam on his big day and walking him down the aisle.
Bobba Rebecca
Our amazing Bobba Rebecca is joining us from afar, proving that distance is no match for her love and enthusiasm! She’s also representing our beloved Zaida Simmy, who would have adored being here—probably sneaking extra desserts and sharing his best stories. Though he’s with us in spirit, Bobba is making sure his presence (and opinions!) are fully felt. We couldn’t be luckier to have her!
Uncle Ralph
Ralph is Adam’s uncle but happily goes by the name of Uncle Ralph to everybody he meets. We are very pleased and excited that Ralph is flying in from Israel for the wedding. The highlights of Adam’s trips to Israel over many years is meeting up with his Uncle in Jerusalem and discussing life gaining much of his great wisdom. Ralph was Adam’s Sandek and will now be walking Adam down the aisle. Although, he will come from Israel alone he will be representing his wife, Chaja, 4 children, 26 grandchildren and first great grandchild.
Claire & Tim
Claire is Adam’s sister and has known him since he was born. Being only 18 months apart, they are very close both in age and as friends. Claire is extremely excited to see her brother finally get married and has been waiting a very long time for this moment. We are so happy that Claire will be in our wedding party and is also representing Adam’s late father Brian, who will be sorely missed at the wedding. Currently living in Glasgow with husband Tim, daughter Talia and son Xander. We are also delighted that Tim will be our Master of Ceremonies for the day and as President of Scotland’s Jewish Association there is no better qualified man for the occasion. We hope you can understand his accent!
Tayla & Shaun
Tay and Shaun may be joining us from North Carolina, but their love and energy are with us every step of the way! Both creative and practical, they bring a perfect balance of warmth, humour, and down-to-earth wisdom. Along with their doggy baby, Missy, and cat baby, Madam, they’re celebrating with us from afar. Whether near or far, they’re always there when it matters most—offering support, cracking jokes, and keeping us smiling. We feel their love across the distance and can’t wait to celebrate together!
Rabbi Dov
Rabbi Dov will be leading the Wedding Ceremony. He has known Adam for over 10 years becoming great friends, inviting him to countless Shabbat meals, and making him feel part of the family. In return Adam has been an unofficial handy man helping to build a bbq, treadmill, wardrobes, exercise bike and many succah’s under strict supervision from the Rabbi. We are fortunate that Rabbi Dov has also known Jade for many years, first meeting her on a trip to Rome in 2018. Rabbi Dov is a world renowned Jewish Educator, enriching thousands of lives with his wisdom, compassion, understanding and approachable nature. If only he was a better Shadchan, we could have been here 7 years ago.
Adam & Davina
If two Viv’s wasn’t enough, every wedding needs two Adam’s. Adam met Adam at a bus stop in Golders Green on the way to Israel and has been a great friend, travel-companion, technology advisor, sporting adversary and quiz show team mate ever since. Zydie will be Aloofy’s best man and will as always be closely supported by his wife Davina. Everybody who knows Zydie will attest that anything he needs to do for the wedding will be planned and organised by Davina.
Dan Joseph
DJ will also be Adam’s best man. Adam and DJ met when they were roommates on a Barcelona Jewish trip. Often described by Adam as the younger brother he always wanted and by DJ as the older brother he never wanted, they were born 2 days and 14 years apart, sharing the same character traits and interests. Adam and DJ have become great friends enjoying trips abroad, walks around the block following Adam’s famous short cuts and playing tennis. Like Adam, DJ represents all Taurus’s worldwide as a the perfect best man with his reliability, trustworthiness, practicality and stability.
Loved Ones Celebrating In Spirit
Adam's beloved Dad Brian, our beloved grandparents—Granny Eda, Grandpa Max, Zaida Simmy, Nana Esther, Nonna Maurice, Grandad Sydney and Grandma Lilly, and dear Great Uncle Ernest, are deeply missed but forever with us. They shaped us into who we are and prepared us for this milestone with their love, wisdom, and unwavering support. We know they would have been beaming with pride today, and we carry their spirit with us as we celebrate.
