Things to do in the area
If you are planning on extending your trip to Italy, below is a list of things which you might like to look into. Cinque Terre - a collection of 5 beautiful little villages which you can walk between (accessible by car too for the less adventurous!) Pisa - if you are flying through Pisa, you should really go and see the leaning tower! Lucca - a beautiful Tuscan City with an amazing central square Bergamo - if you are flying through this airport, spend a night in the Città Alta - and I promise you won’t regret it. History, good food and amazing views! Camogli - a lovely little town right on the coast - and you must try the fresh focaccia from the bakery on the seafront! Portofino - the essence of Liguria - a real picture postcard village with a host of lovely restaurants along the coastline. The Lakes - if you fly to any of the Milan airports, a detour north to the lakes - Como, Garda and the lesser known Maggiore will be worth it! Milan - if you are a City lover, Milan is where you need to head. Culture, fashion and food all in abundance. If you nip to Pavia on the way- you’ll be in Riccardo’s home town. Tuscany - if you want to go south, there are so many highlights- but be sure to include Florence and Siena - the latter being one of Riccardo’s favourite places!
