Ceremony
Join us as we say our 'I do's' under the trees at Malanda Lodge. If it's a little wet on the day, we'll move in-doors at the same location.
Cocktail Hour
Have a wine (or two) during our pre-reception drinks while we take a couple of snaps. Enjoy the live music, beautiful views and spectacular company.
Reception
Our sit-down reception will be laid back, with minimal formalities... then we can dance the night away!

Transport on the day
Getting there We have organised a bus service from Atherton > Yungaburra > Malanda Lodge. Please ensure you are at your allocated point at least 10-15 minutes prior to the below pick-up times. Use the link below to locate the exact points on a Google Map. 2.20pm - Behind the Barron Valley Hotel, 53 Main St, Atherton (Railway Lane, car park) 2.25pm - Atherton Motel, 102-106 Maunds Road, Atherton* 2.40pm - Opposite the Yungaburra Hotel (pub) infront of the park 3.00pm - 3.10pm - Arrival at Malanda Lodge *Please note, there is another motel called Atherton Tableland Motel; please ensure you're at the one on Maunds Road. Getting home The bus will run from Malanda Lodge, via Yungaburra, to Atherton at the conclusion of the Reception at midnight. Alternative transport options Atherton offers a Taxi service, however, it is one of the only transport options locally as Uber and other driver services aren't in the area. We highly recommend making transport arrangements in advance.

What is the Dress Code?
Cocktail. The Ceremony will be held in the garden, so stilettos are not recommended.
Children's meals
Children will automatically get a kids meal, unless you've let us know otherwise.
Wet Weather
If it's raining on the day, we'll head inside for the ceremony. We highly recommend that you bring an umbrella on your trip to the tablelands; it's a wet location.
Night before the Wedding
On Friday 28th February, all guests are welcome to come along to an optional (and informal) dinner at The BIG Pub, Malanda. Dinner and drinks are available for purchase, and it gives everyone a chance to mingle pre-wedding.
Recovery Brunch
On Sunday 2 March, all guests are welcome to come along to an optional (and informal) Recovery Brunch at Immellaroo, David and Carol Cusack's property. Time: 10.00am, Address: 204 Sluice Creek Road, Evelyn, QLD 4888. Head up the driveway to the left. Vehicle turnaround at top of hill, park facing back towards road on grass.Casual attire. Hangovers optional.
Wishing Well
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, should you wish to honor us with a gift, a wishing well will be available at the reception for your contribution and best wishes.
Photos & Videos
We will be having an unplugged ceremony; please keep your phones away during this time. After the ceremony (and during the weekend), snap away! We'll provide a QR code on the day which will allow you to upload any snaps and videos you get from the entire weekend. Otherwise, check back here and use the below link:

Malanda Falls (Malanda)
The Falls cascade with its own swimming pool, two rainforest walkways and a glorious picnic spot. Right by the road and easy to get to.
Kuranda Markets (Kuranda)
Kuranda is world famous for its markets. The Village in the Rainforest has two market locations, the Kuranda Original Rainforest Markets and the Heritage Markets.
Crater Lakes National Park (Lake Barrine and Lake Eacham)
Crater Lakes National Park comprises 2 separate sections—Lake Barrine and Lake Eacham. Both sections protect clear, blue crater lakes surrounded by cool rainforest. Lake Eacham, a favourite of locals and visitors alike, offers swimming, birdwatching, picnic areas and shady walking tracks.
Coffee Works (Atherton, Mareeba)
The Mareeba location is the ultimate coffee lovers hot-spot, with a cafe and beautiful gift store full of coffee, chocolate and other goodies. The Atherton store is much smaller but still a great little shop.
Mungali Creek Dairy Cafe (Millaa Millaa)
With some of the BEST dairy products on the market, their farmhouse cafe is a favourite. Located a short drive from Malanda, you won't regret it.
Our Place (Yungaburra)
Our Place is at the heart and soul of Yungaburra and offer a unique blend of Australian and Mediterranean cuisine. Amazing food and service! Reservations required.
Dolce Vita (Atherton)
Fine dining with the most amazing Italian food, plus great service. Highly recommend.
Mr Belson - Cafe (Yungaburra)
Highly recommend this cafe for breakfast or lunch, with great service and amazing food.
Gallo Dairyland Cheese and Chocolate (East Barron)
With hand-crafted chocolates and their own range of delishhh cheeses, this cafe is on the main road from Atherton to Malanda.
Billy Cart Brewery (Atherton)
Billycart Brewing Co. is a locally owned and independent brewery in Atherton. They have craft beer along with a food truck.
Mt Uncle Distillery (Walkamin)
As North Queensland’s pioneering distillery, they craft iconic lines—Botanic Australis, FNQ Rum Co., and Agave Australis—capturing the region’s bold flavours in every bottle.

Cairns > Malanda Approx 77km, 1 hr 20 mins Atherton > Malanda Approx 20km, 17 mins Yungaburra > Malanda Approx 15km, 14 mins Airport The closest airport is Cairns International Airport. Cairns Airport offers car rental services. Bus services are also available. Important Note The trip from Cairns contains driving up a winding mountain range. If you get travel sick, we highly recommend bringing travel sick tablets.
