We Said Yes!
We met in 2022, hit it off, and somehow didn’t scare each other away. So many adventures, countless laughs, and way too many shared snacks later, we became inseparable.
In less than a year — Sean popped the question at our favourite spot in South Africa, just like he claimed he would (props for following through!). Thalia said yes - because obviously!
Now, we're throwing the biggest party of our lives, and you’re invited! Come for the vows, stay for the food, and celebrate with us as we kick off this next chapter!
Location - Bosjes
This historic, working Boland family farm has evolved into a breakaway for families searching for a day in nature and a picturesque destination for weddings and functions.
Situated in the fertile Breedekloof Valley and framed by the Waaihoek and Slanghoek mountains, the farm is surrounded by vineyards, orchards and fynbos.
The wedding venue itself has limited rooms and will primarily accommodate family.
Where to stay
The venue is in Cape Town’s stunning wine region, Paarl, surrounded by boutique wineries. As most accommodations are small, not all guests will stay together.
To keep travel simple, we recommend booking nearby wineries for the night before and night of the wedding. These will fill up quickly, so early booking is advised, which we are happy to help with.
If you prefer to arrange your own stay, that’s absolutely fine—just ensure transport is booked in advance.
Overall Guidance
We encourage all our guests to make the most of their trip to South Africa by turning it into a memorable holiday.
To keep things simple, we kindly ask that you set aside the day before and the day of the wedding for the celebrations.
Of course, many of you already know each other and may wish to arrive earlier. If so, we (Sean) are happy to assist with travel planning, including location suggestions and recommendations.
We highly recommend renting a car to explore the incredible surroundings at your own pace. While transportation will be provided for key events, having a car will make travel more convenient—and rental rates in South Africa are very affordable.
Safety:
Contrary to popular belief, Cape Town is a safe destination with a relatively low crime rate, particularly in the areas we will be visiting.
The location of our wedding is well outside the city, offering a peaceful and secure environment.
That said, as with any travel destination, it’s always good to be mindful of your surroundings. We are happy to provide advice on the best places to visit and any areas to avoid to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable trip.
