Frequently Asked Questions
Are children invited to the wedding?
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adult only celebration so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the night.
When do we need to RSVP by?
Please submit your RSVP before the first of November.
Are the wedding ceremony and the reception at the same venue?
Yes, everything will take place at Bird in Hand Winery.
Will there be transport to and from the venue?
If you’re not driving, we recommend organising a taxi or rideshare in advance, as Bird in Hand is in the Adelaide Hills. Return buses may also be arranged depending on guest numbers. Please register your interest when you RSVP.
Can I park at the venue?
Yes, there is guest parking available onsite at Bird in Hand.
What does Black Tie mean?
A chance to go all out. For men: a tuxedo or dark suit with a bow tie. For women: a floor-length gown or an elevated cocktail dress. Think chic. (IIDAM — If In Doubt, Ask Millie)
What about gifts?
We truly don’t expect anything. Sharing the day with us is what matters most. If you would like to give, a contribution to our honeymoon fund would be a lovely gesture. A card bowl will be there on the day.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that phones stay away until after the ceremony. We’ll have a photographer capturing it all. Just sit back and enjoy the moment.
What if I can’t make it?
Please still RSVP “no” so we know not to expect you.
What happens after midnight?
Carriages! The celebration concludes at midnight, so please plan your transport accordingly.
Will there be vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options?
Yes. The menu has been designed with dietary needs in mind. Please let us know any requirements when you RSVP.
