We're Getting Married!
And in true us style, we are doing it a little differently to 'the usual'. We invite you to one of our favourite places on Earth - Tasmania - to celebrate our love. This is not your traditional wedding; we will be doing a private ceremony, just the two of us. Originally we had planned to elope, then celebrate with all our loved ones once we were back, but then we thought why not just invite everyone down with us so then we can treat you to all the things we love so much about Tasmania. So, we will meet you all at one of the best restaurants in the country after we say 'I do', to spend the afternoon in the garden, eating good food and drinking good beverages. With that being said, scroll below to learn all about our special day, and how we would love to have you join us if you are willing and able. Much love, Renee & El x

Think bright + bold. We want everyone to blend seamlessly with the garden around us, and to feel beautiful & comfortable in what they are wearing. The theme is garden party cocktail / formal. That means all the colours and textures of mother nature around us. We have prepared the mood board to give you a visual idea tones we would love to see on our day (but not limited to). Please no all black or white. Cream, beige and browns are great! Plus all the other colours in the colour wheel. For the suit wearers, please no green suits and a white shirt if you must (no black and white formal style suits).
Accommodation
We have put together a list of options we love, or you are welcome to find your own. We recommend staying the main CBD or wharf area to be close to all the cafes, restaurants & attractions. There are also lots of lovely Airbnb options in central Hobart + Battery Point.

Frequently Asked Questions
We've pulled together a handy Q&A to help you get the info you need:
When do we need to RSVP by?
Please submit your RSVP by 11th May 2026.
Are children invited to the wedding?
We’re excited to celebrate our special day with all of our loved ones. To ensure everyone can relax and enjoy the goodness, we kindly request that our celebration be adults-only. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to share this occasion with you.
Are the wedding ceremony and garden party at the same venue?
No, they are not. We will be holding the private wedding ceremony at a different location, then meeting you at The Agrarian Kitchen for our lunch celebration after.
Will the garden party be indoors or outdoors?
Weather pending, we will be hosting some parts outdoors in the garden, then lunch indoors. Please dress appropriately for Tassie weather!
Can we drive to the garden party?
Definitely! There is lots of onsite parking if required. We have booked a bus to transport guests to and from Hobart CBD though so you can relax and not worry about driving.
What should we do if we have dietary requirements?
This will be a question when you complete your RSVP. Please ensure you add all dietary requirements so we can pass these onto the venue.
Will you have a wishing well or gift registry?
No we won't. For us your presence is the best present, and we understand the cost to travel to celebrate with us. As such, we kindly request no gifts or donations, simply come along and celebrate with us.
Can I bring a plus one?
We’re keeping the wedding very small and intimate, and it’s strictly by invitation only so we can share the day with our nearest and dearest.
Who shall we contact if we have any further questions?
In the lead up to the big day, please contact Renee or El with any further questions you may have.
Do you have any local recommendations or travel tips?
We're sure you all know how much we love Tassie, hence why we got engaged and now are getting married there! We've compiled a list of all of our favourite places and recommendations for you below. We can't wait to share this beautiful slice of the world with you all!
Travel Tips
Tasmania: the land of the cleanest air in the world (fact), insane nature, kind people and a deep presence of calm. These are just some of the reasons we have fallen in love with Tasmania, and we hope you do to. Over the years we have visited this island many times, so wanted to share with you our top tips and recommendations. 1. Book your flights as early as possible. Only a couple of airlines fly direct to Hobart from Canberra, so the flights fill up fast. 2. If you are staying for longer than a few days, hire a car. Hobart doesn't have very good public transport, so you will need a car to get around, especially if you want to see other areas. 3. There is so much more to Tassie than just Hobart! If you're making the trip down here, we really recommend staying a few extra days to soak up all the beauty if you can. The below tips are just a few of the things that we have loved, but there's so much more you can find on Google, Insta + Tourism Tasmania. One of our favourite parts of Tassie is driving out and stopping at whatever peaks your interest. This is how we have had some of our best adventures.
Hobart + surrounds
Stay: - All the hotels listed above - There's also heaps of cute Airbnb's - Best areas are anywhere in central Hobart, Battery Point or Sandy Bay Eat: - Dier Makr + Fico (fine dining) - The Whaler (best pub meals + lobster roll) - Erda + Room For a Pony (cafes) - Pigeon Whole + Six Russell (bakeries) Do: - MONA museum (make sure you get the ferry!) - Mt Wellington (it is always freezing up there, but an epic view) + Cascades Brewery on the way down as a reward - Bruny Island for hikes, oysters & honey - A day trip out to Richmond to see the oldest bridge in Aus, cute duckies, plus lots of wineries + Coal River farm on the way! - Huon Valley down south, with the cute towns of Cygnett + Huonville, famous for their apples, cherries + berries. This is cider land.
East Coast
Stay: - Saffire Resort in Freycinet (bougie) - Freycinet Lodge (very nice - we got the pod) - There are soooo many cute airbnbs all along the coast, so it just depends where you want to go and what you want to see - Areas that we loved were Coles Bay, Swansea, St Helens and Binalong Bay Eat: - The many oysters farms along the way, our FAVOURITE part - Bicheno lobster shack - Lifebuoy cafe in St Helens. This is where we went for breaky after we got engaged and they were so lovely! - The many seafood places Do: - Port Arthur for historical sites - Maria Island for wombat island. You have to get the ferry over, make sure you pre-book. Heaps of cool hikes + wildlife here - Freycinet National Park, a must if you are going up the east coast. Wineglass Bay is a famous hike and the whole area is stunning. - St Helens + Bay of Fires, same as the above. Orange rocks with crystal clear blue water, it is a bucket list experience for sure. Our favourite spots are Cosy Corner North (where we got engaged) and The Gardens.
Midlands
Stay: - Pumphouse Point (on Lake St Clair) - Anywhere within a 1 hour drive to Cradle Mountain, there's lots of cute Airbnb's to choose from including goat farms! - Inside the National Park itself there is Cradle Mountain Lodge + Peppers, if you want to be close to do as many hikes as possible Eat: - Tbh this area isn't known for it's culinary delights, but we've never had a bad meal in all of Tassie. The local pubs and bakeries always make delicious food. - Sometimes you will drive past a farm selling their produce which we love to grab, make sure you carry cash for this! Do: - Cradle Mountain. Ren's favourite place in the world. It is a spiritual experience. There's so many amazing hikes, but our faves are Marion's Lookout, Dove Lake and the boardwalk down to Ronny Creek, which is where the wombats are.
The North
Stay: - There's heaps of amazing Airbnb's littered over the North - Derby (cute MTB town where the floating sauna is). We stayed in the old bank building B&B - Launceston + Devonport both have heaps of options and lots of food / city perks - Lots of cute farm stays across the North. We've stayed at lots of animal farms from Forth to Penguin - Stanley is a super cute historical coastal town. We stayed at Borradale, a beautiful cottage on the hill with a view to 'The Nut' Eat: - The Tasting Trail, a drive throughout the North with over 30+ stops at local producers. Think cheese factories, berry farms, hazelnut producers etc. A fun way to travel for foodies! - Heresford Seafood in Stanley - Crayfish aka Southern Rock Lobster is local to this area, so all of the local pubs make the best lobster dishes Do: - Floating Sauna in Derby (a must!!!) - MTB in Derby, apparently some of the best courses in Aus - Lavender fields about an hour from Derby - Stanley, a sweet historical town with 'The Nut', the big rock seen in the photo here. You can hike it or get the cable car up, there is lots of walks on top of it with lots of different eco-systems and incredible views!
