Getting There - Transportation
Options: Bus If you would like to have a seat on the bus, either to or from the wedding (or both). Please let us know ASAP so we can confirm numbers. The bus will pick passengers up from the Novotel at 1:50pm. It will drop passengers off in Mooloolaba when the reception finishes. Uber/Taxi You will be able to book an uber to the venue, however, they won't be able to be booked for the return trip due to the location (unless pre booked). If you prefer this option, Ubers from the Sunshine Coast should cost between $40 - $60. Drive If you would prefer to drive to and from the wedding (and not drink) there is a carpark behind the chapel that is able to be used. If selecting this option please ensure to arrive at 2:30 to avoid too many people arriving close to the ceremony start time.
Dress Code
Our dress code is garden party! To save you a Google: A garden party dress code is a balance of semi-formal and comfortable attire suitable for an outdoor setting, emphasising light, breathable fabrics, and practical footwear to avoid sinking into grass. While florals, pastels, and soft, earthy tones are popular choices, the specific level of formality depends on the occasion, ranging from casual sundresses for relaxed events to more structured midi dresses or light suits for formal garden parties. We would like you to be comfortable but would love to see everyone looking a bit more formal so we don't look too overdressed :) Male guests, please avoid beige or dark brown suit jackets if possible as this is what the groomsmen and groom will be wearing on the day.
Our Love Story
Becca & Nick met back in 2020 just before that pandemic hit. Starting off as friends (thanks Becca). After months of not being able to see anyone else, Becca finally caved in and agreed to go out with Nick. A decision some say, she would never regret. Fast forward 4 years, on a holiday to Canada. Nick decided that during a 30km hike on their Anniversary (that Becca forgot) that he would get down on one knee and pop the question. Becca OBVIOUSLY said yes and here we are. A Story By Nick
