Our Story
Lisa & Paul first met when they were both 13, hanging around outside Sainsburys in Kempston.
After spotting Lisa standing near John Menzies, Paul eventually plucked up the courage to…..
...ask one of his friends to ask Lisa out for him!
After a very brief discussion she sent the same messenger back with the answer ‘I’ll think about it!'
That was a long 24 hours for Paul, but being the ever optimist he was just so happy that it wasn’t a straight 'no'. Eventually she agreed to start ‘seeing him’
The relationship lasted about 3 days at which point Lisa decided to ‘pack Paul in’. Although slightly heartbroken Paul was quietly chuffed that they were an item for that long!
Now, fast forward 20 years, yes 20! Its now 2011, Paul received a voicemail, (Paul hates voicemails but decided to listen to it), it was Lisa Crawley, yes, the same Lisa ‘I’ll think about it’ Crawley.
Oh wow!... Lisa was now wanting to purchase a laptop for her daughter and Paul had been recommended by a mutual friend as someone who might be able to help.
Eventually, after 3 weeks of messaging, Paul decided to ask Lisa out for the second time. Paul, now being 33 years old was man enough to actually ask her out himself, she said yes (without making him wait 24 hours) and agreed to come over....
Since then, Paul and Lisa have lived together and built a very happy life along with Scarlet, Harrison and the boss of their house, Tallulah, the Shih Tzu.
The Proposal
It’s now 2022, approaching their 11-year anniversary together and marriage had often been a topic of conversation.
Paul wanted the proposal to be complete surprise so he decided not to mention the ‘M’ word for a while to avoid suspicion, Paul then suggested a trip to New York for a city break.
Paul, (who always takes full advantage of the 23kg luggage allowance) had also secretly packed an engagement ring and was a man with a plan... book a rooftop bar for their first night in the city and ask a stranger to take a ‘photo’.
Please enjoy watching the following video, watch out for when Lisa pushes Paul, says ‘Stop it’ and leans over and whispers ‘are you joking?’
As you can see Lisa had no idea but did actually say yes!
The Wedding!
We got married on Tuesday 25th June in the Valley of Fire; Las Vegas. It was beautiful.
We look forward to sharing some of our photos with you all.

Wedding Gift
Having all of our family and friends at our wedding party and having an amazing day is genuinely all we want. We both feel extremely lucky and have all the things in life that we need.
We understand that some people will want to give us a wedding gift but please don't feel you have to.
We are undergoing a garden project at the moment so a small contribution so we can buy something nice that we can appreciate and attribute to our wedding would be amazing.
Thank you. Lisa & Paul xxx
