Meagan & Matthew

We first met back in 2016 as co-workers at Maccas, where Matt was managing the store Meagan worked at. There may have been the occasional bicker over the drive-thru headset, but back then it was mostly rostered shifts, quick coffees and casual chats during breaks. Fast forward to 2022 when fate (and a cheeky swipe on Tinder) brought us back into each other’s lives. The spark was instant. What started with a few laughs quickly turned into long drives, late-night chats and endless messages that always felt too short. Our weekends filled up with dinner dates—some fancy, some just burgers and chips in the car. We curled up for movie nights, got hooked on way too many TV series and started building a life full of little rituals. Sunday breakfasts at our favourite café, spontaneous beach walks, cooking meals together that sometimes worked (and sometimes didn’t), and always finding something to laugh about. We’ve travelled to new places, spent too long deciding where to eat, gone on weekend road trips, got lost a few times and made memories that now feel like home. We’ve celebrated birthdays, holidays, quiet nights in and every little win in between. Then in October 2024, on our very first overseas trip together, everything changed. We were exploring the vibrant streets of Hong Kong—Meagan seeing the world for the first time, eyes wide with wonder—when Matthew got down on one knee… and Meagan said yes. Now we’re getting ready to start the next chapter of our story, side by side, hearts full. And we cannot wait to celebrate with those most important to us.
