Megan & Matthew

Megan and Matt met back in the summer of 2017 through a mutual friend in Nanaimo and started dating that November. Since then they have both encouraged each other to finish their post-secondary schooling, and have achieved wonderful jobs in their chosen careers. Megan is the manager of an Infant Toddler Montessori program in the valley and Matt is a Journeyman Electrician. Matt and Megan lived together in Nanaimo from 2017-2019 and then made the move to Courtenay where they still currently reside in the fall of 2019. They survived the Covid pandemic together. And in May of 2022 they welcomed Topaz their first fur baby into their life. A spicy kitten with the biggest personality. On November 6th, 2021, Matt took Megan on an adventure they'll never forget; Matt got down on one knee in front of their favourite waterfall… and the rest is history!

Is there a dress code? Yes! Please come dressed in Semi-Formal Black attire. We kindly request that you do not wear jeans and that you please stick to the dress code Are children invited? We love all your kiddos. However, we have opted to have an Adult only Ceremony and Reception. Think of it as a Childfree weekend Can children come to the ceremony? No. Matt and Megan have requested a child free ceremony Can I Take photos/videos? We are having an unplugged Ceremony and ask that you keep your phones or cameras away until after all the “firsts” are finished. We promise to share all the beautiful pictures and videos the photographer and videographer take of our day. Can I bring a plus one? No, we ask that only people addressed on the invitation attend our special day. Can we bring our fur babies? No, unfortunately, the resort has a “no pets” policy over weddings as they tend to be forgotten about throughout the events. Are the ceremony and reception indoors or outdoors? Both will be held outdoors. There will be a covered area for the reception. When is the RSVP deadline? We need to know if you will be attending by or before the 24th of June 2024. What’s the bar situation? We are having a Toonie bar and have hired the amazing Travel Bar to bartend our wedding! Is there Uber? No. we live on a relatively small island, in an even smaller town, Uber or any ride-share apps do not exist here and the taxi situation is limited and very expensive. we suggest renting a car if you're planning on going out and about during your stay. We recommend renting one early as there are limited vehicles. The car rental companies are: Budget and Enterprise What airport should we arrive in? The Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) is the closest airport to the venue.

Megan and Matt have opted to not have a registry for their big day! Instead they opened a “home and honey” fund. There will be a spot to leave cards next to the guest book
