Ceremony & Celebrations
Our ceremony will be held on the lawn overlooking the loch. Please arrive at 12pm to be seated for 12:30pm.
We'll then celebrate with dinner, drinks and a ceilidh dance until late.
attire: Feel free to wear whatever you feel fabulous in - the more colourful the better! We'd recommend comfortable shoes for ceilidh dancing (there will be somewhere to leave these for the day should you wish to change later on).

Sunday Get Together
We appreciate our guests are travelling from far and wide to celebrate with us, so to extend the fun we will be gathering on the venue grounds on the Sunday for a relaxed afternoon/evening of lawn games and pizza.

The Area
Carrick Castle is located 5 miles from Lochgoilhead, a small village in the stunning Argyll Scottish Highlands.
This area is special to both of us and a regular holiday spot since Louise's parents, Jenny and Stuart, made the move up to Lochgoilhead.
We can't wait for you to see it!
We'll update this page with things to do in and around the area closer to the time.
Accommodation
Our wedding is on Saturday 23rd May 2026 (Bank Holiday weekend) and all guests are welcome to join us again on the Sunday.
If possible, we'd suggest travelling on the Friday.
Below are some accommodation options in the local area. We've included a variety to suit different needs and group sizes, but if you're struggling to find something then please reach out to us.
Booking.com and Airbnb will also have other options which tend to become available to book between 9-12 months in advance.
The majority of accommodation options are located in Lochgoilhead village, around 5 miles from our wedding venue.
We'll be providing details on transport from the village to the venue closer to the time and will also update the accommodation info here as new options become available throughout the year.
Due to it being a popular bank holiday weekend we would advise having a look early!
Travel to the Area
Driving - the easiest way to reach the area due to its remoteness; we would recommend car-sharing if able. Let us know if you would like to be put in touch with other guests who may be driving from a similar area.
Public transport - Glasgow is the closest transport hub (regular flights/trains/buses arriving from UK cities). From Glasgow there is a train to Helensburgh, followed by a bus to Lochgoilhead & Carrick Castle. Car rental or arranging a private taxi/shuttle bus from Glasgow are also options.
We will provide information on guests' travel to the venue on the day of the wedding closer to the time.
Gifts
Your support, smiles and dancing feet are all we require on our big day. If you should still wish to honour us with something more, we would truly appreciate any gift or a contribution towards our honeymoon fund!
RSVP
Please let us know if you can join us before 1st January 2026
