Our Story
High school sweetheart alert!
Liam and Danni’s story began like any other—just two kids crossing paths waaaay back in 2002 at the Redcliffe Uniting Church playgroup. At only 5 and 6 years old, they had no idea of the incredible adventures that lay ahead, or that one day, they would be standing side by side as husband and wife! – Love at first sight right?
Fast forward to 2009, when Liam and Danni began their high school journey at Clontarf Beach State High. It was here that their friendship truly blossomed, brought together by a shared passion for music and creative projects. Staying true to their personalities, Liam thrived behind the scenes as the man of sound and lighting, while Danni shone front and centre on stage as the leading lady. Their dynamic was the perfect harmony of talents, setting the foundation for a friendship that would grow into something much more.
As the years passed, March of year 11 (2012) became a pivotal moment when Liam mustered the courage to ask Danni on their first date. Their destination? The beloved gathering spot for all Redcliffe locals—the Kippa-Ring movie theatres.
After countless memorable milestones—ranging from high school graduations, university years, navigating full-time work, and embracing the adventures of adult life —2018 marked a new chapter for Liam and Danni. That year, they took the exciting step of moving into their first home together in Fitzgibbon.
In March 2024, to celebrate their 12-year anniversary, Liam and Danni embarked on a breathtaking adventure aboard the Quantum of the Seas. Little did Danni know, an even bigger surprise awaited. On the 24th of March, Liam had meticulously planned a romantic helicopter ride over the secluded beaches of Whitsunday Island. With crystal-clear waters below, teeming with turtles and stingrays, the moment couldn’t have been more perfect.
When the helicopter landed on the Whitsunday Island shores, Liam (finally) got down on one knee, pulling a carefully hidden ring from the back zipper pocket of his shorts. Overcome with emotion, Danni burst into tears, so moved that she forgot to answer! After a few heartfelt moments passed, Liam gently nudged her with, "So... is that a yes?".
Of course it was a yes! The custom-made ring fit perfectly, and Danni couldn’t contain her joy as she raced up and down the beach, exclaiming, “I’m engaged!” The toughest part was keeping the news a secret until they got home, where they could definitively share it with family and friends. “Finally!” was a word that echoed through the celebration – And here we are!
As we prepare to become husband and wife, surrounded by our loved ones, we reflect on the journey that brought us together - every moment has woven our story into something beautiful. This day marks not just our union but the beginning of a lifetime of adventures, love, and cherished memories. We are so grateful to have each of you here to celebrate this next chapter in our lives, and we can't wait to see what the future holds as we continue to write our story together.
Thank you for being a part of our love story!

Wedding Party
Meet our lovely friends who will by our side on the big day.
Jess - Maid of Honour
Meet Jessica—the official wedding stylist, psychologist, and mother hen—she was BORN to be the maid of honour. Don’t let her petite stature fool you; if you come between her and the run sheet, you better hope she’s caffeinated—otherwise, you might just witness a small but mighty rumble! Jess has been a total godsend, juggling the chaos of wedding planning like a pro while simultaneously keeping Danni sane through every crisis (and let’s be honest, that’s a superpower we can all appreciate).
Whether she’s soothing the bride with motivational speeches, a spirited “yaaaaaas kweeeeeeen,” or passionately debating the merits of logistics and stylings like it’s the final round of a reality show - Jess dives into every detail with the determination of a lioness protecting her cubs (complete with dramatic hand gestures).
Danni can’t imagine surviving this wedding adventure without Jess by her side—after all, with her fierce spirit and uncanny ability to turn a crisis into a blessing, she’s basically a walking, talking bridal survival kit (with bubble tea in one hand and a checklist in the other).
Nikki - Bridesmaid
Nikki and Danni have been partners in crime for nearly three decades, they met through their parents Sue and Ross. Over the years, they’ve shared everything—from childhood mischief to questionable fashion choices. Competitive but always supportive, Nikki has been by Danni’s side through it all—including the ups, downs, and even the long-haired Liam phase.
As the ultimate confidante and with her fierce loyalty, she’s been ready with her 'protective sister' speech since day one—though we’re pretty sure she’ll only need her words, not a step stool, to keep everyone in line!
Kira - Bridesmaid
Danni met Kira back in 2017 during a group PT boxing class. What started as intense workouts—where boxing gloves became a surprisingly good outlet for stress—soon developed into a strong, lasting friendship. As the workouts continued, they discovered they had more in common than just a love for rage-releasing exercises.
Whether sharing stories over delicious meals or singing along to their favourite musicals, Danni and Kira have built a friendship filled with laughter, support, and countless good memories. From the first punch to now, they've stood by each other, and Danni couldn't be happier that Kira will be standing by her side as she embarks on this next chapter.
Bailey - Best Man
With a touch of irony, Bailey met Danni before Liam. A central figure in their musical projects, Bailey has been around since day one, always ready to lend his voice, enthusiasm, and the occasional unsolicited opinion.
Whether he’s hitting the high notes, making fat people jokes or enjoying a drink or two, Bailey’s always up for the challenge. And while some might argue that Bailey and Liam are the real love story here, the bromance will live on far after the wedding is over. He’s the guy who can turn tears into chuckles, awkward silences even more awkward, and an ordinary wedding into an unforgettable celebration! The man, the myth, the lisp (sorry, legend)—the best man.
Chris - Groomsman
Chris met Danni and Liam back in 2011 under the most unconventional circumstances—as their business teacher at high school! Who knew that a classroom filled with charts and PowerPoint presentations would lead to such an epic friendship? What started as lectures on profit margins soon blossomed into wild adventures in the school musical projects, where Chris traded in his grading pen for his producer hat.
Now, Chris is the go-to guy for advice and wisdom. He’s the one you can count on to offer sage advice that somehow manages to blend life lessons with classic grand-dad jokes. Need help deciding if you should splurge on that expensive coffee or save for your future? Chris has the answer—and it usually involves a cup of tea and a well-timed pun!
Dan - Groomsman & MC
Dan first crossed paths with Danni and Liam as the charismatic director of their school musical projects. After years of navigating the chaos of costumes, choreography, teenage tantrums and last-minute showtime changes; their friendship emerged victorious from the trenches of school musical budgets.
Now, Dan is notoriously known as the friend who introduced Liam to alcohol at the ripe age of 23—a decision that, let’s just say, has led to some legendary nights and questionable life choices!
As a groomsman and the master of ceremonies for this shindig, Dan is extra special to our wedding lineup. Expect him to charm the crowd, share embarrassing stories that make everyone laugh and sprinkle in some musical references. With Dan leading the way, this wedding is bound to be a spectacular celebration filled with laughter, love, and maybe even a few surprise song numbers—so keep your drinks ready and your dancing shoes on!

MOBILE HAIR AND MAKEUP ARTIST MEMO
Ladies! Since our wedding falls on the King’s Birthday long weekend and is on a Sunday, booking a salon for hair and makeup may be tricky. If you'd like professional styling, we highly recommend hiring a mobile hair and makeup artist to come straight to your hotel (or house if your driving down on the day).
Gifts
We are incredibly grateful for the love and support from each of our cherished guests as we prepare to celebrate this special day. We understand that attending this wedding may come with various commitments, whether it be adhering to the dress code or making the journey to be with us. Please know that your presence is the most wonderful gift we could ever ask for, and we have no expectations beyond that.
However, for those who feel inclined to contribute to our future together, we would be deeply touched by a monetary gift. Your kindness will help us as we embark on the next chapter of our lives, and we appreciate your generosity from the bottom of our hearts.
Unplugged Ceremony
An unplugged ceremony is one where guests put away phones, cameras, and other devices so everyone can be fully present in the moment.
Now, let’s get straight to the point: please put them away!
To avoid any misunderstandings, we’ve decided to have a completely unplugged ceremony. We kindly but firmly request that all phones, cameras, and other devices are switched off and kept out of sight. This moment is incredibly special to us, and we want everyone to share it with us without distractions—or screens in the way of our photographers.
We trust that everyone will respect this simple request.
Social Media Courtesy
Once the ceremony concludes and the celebrations are in full swing, we warmly invite you to capture as many beautiful memories as you’d like! We hope you’ll take photos, celebrate, and treasure these special moments with us.
That said, we kindly ask for a small favour: please hold off on sharing any photos on social media until we’ve had the chance to post first. This day is incredibly meaningful to us, and we’d love the opportunity to savour it privately before sharing it with the wider world.
Your understanding and support mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to see the amazing memories you’ve captured when the time is right!
