Our Story
Our little local dog park, is where it all began…
Laura and Brayden struck up friendly conversation over mutual acquaintances from school. Before long, Brayden added Laura on Facebook hoping that she would notice his ‘single’ status. She did not.
Months went by, both quietly hoping to see each other at the dog park each day, where conversation flowed in to talk about travel, our goals and future dreams.
Then Covid happened.
It was July 2nd 2021, lockdown finally ended that night and Laura and Brayden bumped in to each other, out walking their dogs. Brayden asked Laura to join him for an early morning jet ski the next day.
It wasn’t long before the two of them became inseparable and by the end of the year had moved in together.
They got another dog together.
Brayden planned a very elaborate (and romantic) engagement proposal in Tasmania.
Then fast forward to February 1st 2023, Laura and Brayden became a family with the birth of their daughter, Hazel.
Important information regarding travel
Please note the above details of the bus departure to and from Summergrove.
We strongly recommend you travel on the bus we have provided, as there is limited parking at the venue and taxis and Ubers will not pick you up from the venue at the end of the night.
Please be aware no alcohol can be consumed on the bus.
Children
We love your children and would love to invite everyone, but this will be an adult only celebration.
Parents please let your hair down and have a great night.
Breastfed and young babies are of course, welcome.
If you have any questions, please contact Laura or Brayden.
Gifts
Please, no gifts. Your presence on our wedding day is truly the only gift we could hope for.
A card with well wishes or advice for our marriage would be lovely.
A wishing well is available if you choose but we really do mean, no gifts are necessary.
A Note
Please be aware, our wedding falls on Father’s Day. Father’s Day is a special day for many, and we understand you may not be able to make it to our wedding for this reason.
