The Weekend We have planned celebrations across the weekend on both Saturday and Sunday. We recommend a Friday arrival and a Monday departure to be able to maximise the celebrations! More details can be seen on the timeline as well as out website. Getting There Daily flights to Bergerac (1 hour) and Bordeaux (1 hour 30 minutes) would be the easiest options. You can also fly to Limoges which is slightly further away. Hiring a car would then be recommended. Those with more time may opt for a leisurely drive down through France. Buses to and from Aubeterre-sur-Dronne and Riberac have been organised around the celebrations and activities. Parking There is a lot of parking available at the Chateau for those driving but will be limited taxis available, so we recommend the bus service we are providing. Accommodation There are a range of places to stay in both Aubeterre-sur-Dronne and Riberac, both just a 12 minute journey from the Chateau. Aubeterre-sur-Dronne has been labelled as one of France’s most beautiful villages and sits on the river Dronne where Sunday canoeing will take place. Riberac and surrounding areas also offer a wider range of accommodation, we recommend booking as early as possible! Children As much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ children, we can only accommodate a few close family children. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us for our special weekend. Gifts We know that your presence is the greatest gift.
