Accommodation Information
We have a block of hotel rooms on reserve at the Comfort Inn in Carleton Place. Please click below (Comfort Inn Discounted Rate) to reserve!
Should you wish to stay elsewhere in Carleton Place, there is also The Grand Hotel, right on the main street and select Airbnbs.
You are also welcome to stay in Kanata, however no shuttle will be provided (please see FAQ for information on taxis, ubers and parking!).
Things to Do In & Around Carleton Place
New to area and want to explore? We recommend checking out Carleton Place's main street with its cute shops and great food.
There's also a bunch of small towns nearby and we're only 40 minutes away from Ottawa.

When do we need to RSVP by?
Please submit your RSVP by March 1, 2026.
Where will the wedding and reception take place?
The wedding and reception will take place at the same venue, Bleeks & Bergamot (8101 Bleeks Rd, Ottawa). It's an accessible venue, with no stairs. The venue has both an indoor and outdoor facility! Depending on the weather, the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside.
What is the dress code?
Great question! First and foremost, we want you to be comfortable. We’re all about colour, joy, and good vibes! Dress in your favourite fun colours, prints, and accessories — the brighter, the better. Suits, dresses, jumpsuits, Hawaiian shirts! We just ask for a pop of colour and for you to be comfortable. We can’t wait to see everyone’s personalities shine!

Are children invited to the wedding?
As much as we love your littles, we ask that they sit this party out.
Transportation, Parking and other logistics
The venue does have parking on-site and cars can stay in the parking lot overnight as long as they are removed by 10:00AM the next day.
There will be a shuttle provided going from the Comfort Inn in Carleton Place to Bleeks & Bergamot (~20 min drive). The shuttle will depart at 3:40PM to go to the venue.
Ottawa taxis and uber will pick-up at the venue, however guests are strongly encouraged to call in advance to book a taxi or uber given the location.
I have food allergies and/or insensitivities, how can I let the couple know?
Not a problem! Our wedding is being catered by Maggy's Provisions who will be able to accommodate most allergies. Please mention any allergies in your RSVP when selecting your meal option (chicken, pork or veggie).
Is it open bar?
Yes! It will be a standard open bar with wine, beer, wine and select liquors. We will also have pop, sparkling water, and other non-alcoholic options.
Where are you registered?
Your presence is the only gift we need! However, if you’d like to contribute to our future together, we aren't registered anywhere and would gratefully accept cash or e-transfer (kendra.buchanan@live.com or stevens.ethan.b@gmail.com).
