Our Love Story
If someone had told us that a job interview would lead us to the love of our lives, we never would have believed them. But that’s exactly how our story began. Katie had applied for a role at Barcon, and when she arrived, Scott was the one to greet her. It was supposed to be a formal, professional moment, and it was - but there was something in the way we connected that we couldn’t ignore. We clicked instantly, even if we tried to keep things professional.
We spent a year working side by side, building a friendship filled with laughter, deep conversations, and an unspoken understanding. Somewhere along the way, that friendship quietly grew into something undeniable.
Since then, our journey together has been one of adventure, love, and unwavering support. We’ve explored cities like Amsterdam, London, and Paris, climbed mountains, and eaten our way across Europe. Scott even became a proud cat dad to Katie’s two furry companions - which said everything about his heart.
But our love story isn’t just built on the big, exciting moments. It’s in the quiet strength we give each other every day. Scott has been Katie’s rock through her hardest moments, and Katie has been Scott’s safe place - helping him grow in confidence and become the incredible man she always knew he could be. Together, we’ve grown - not just as a couple, but as individuals - becoming better versions of ourselves because of the love we share.
In 2023, Paris became the setting for one of our most treasured memories. We were there to celebrate Katie’s 30th birthday - or so she thought. After an early morning flight, Scott suggested a walk to the Eiffel Tower. Katie ended up falling asleep on the grass (classic her), but when she woke up, Scott was sitting next to her, looking adorably nervous. Then came the ring. He’d chosen it himself, kept it a complete secret, and planned everything perfectly.
Now, our greatest adventure is raising our beautiful baby boy, Archie. Watching each other step into parenthood has been the most heartwarming, life-changing gift. Every day, we’re reminded that the job Katie once applied for gave her so much more than a career… it gave us our partner, our best friend, our safe place, and our whole future.
