Our Love Story
Jonathan and Joy first met back in October 2021 and had their first date on a rainy day in Drumboe Woods in Stranorlar. Joy was struck by Jonathan’s charm, kind nature and lovely blue eyes. He opened the car door for her and held an umbrella when she got out, such good manners. Jonathan loved Joy’s sense of humour and smile!
They spent lots of time with each other in the following weeks and went on adventures together to Germany, Italy and France. They travelled between Donegal Town and Derry to visit each other in between.
Eventually all of the children met each other and both Jonathan and Joy were delighted when they all got on so well together enjoying a trip to Spain to get to know each other better.
Before they knew it, weeks rolled into months, then months rolled into years. In October last year, Jonathan got down on one knee in the middle of the Craft Village in Derry… and Joy said yes... after she realised he wasn't just tying his shoelace!
