Their Story
In July 2023, Garry and Alex met during band practice at the Old Basing Royal British Legion. Upon seeing Garry, Alex felt an instant crush and butterflies in her stomach. After a week, they began talking about their interests outside of music and discovered their mutual love for Disney, cooking, baking, and swimming. They went on a bowling and dinner date without realizing that they both had feelings for each other. They stayed up until 3:30 a.m. talking and laughing, occasionally gazing into each other's eyes. Though Alex hoped for a kiss, she thought she had misread the situation and that Garry wasn't interested with him being slightly older. However, they continued to message each other and discuss their love lives, hoping to find someone special soon. On August 7th 2023, Garry asked Alex if she felt a spark between them, to which she replied that it was more like fireworks. From then on, their friendship blossomed into love, and they cared for each other deeply. They have been on many adventures, including a weekend in Winchester, a holiday in the New Forest with Alex's parents, and Alex's first London Comic Con. Their favourite adventure was when Garry proposed to Alex after seeking her parents' blessing. He took her to a romantic spot, got down on one knee, and presented her with a beautiful ring fit for a princess. Alex said yes, and they continue to create new memories and grow stronger in their love for each other.
Now Touch The Air Softly - William Jay Smith
Now touch the air softly, step gently, one, two... I’ll love you ’till roses are robin’s-egg blue; I’ll love you till gravel is eaten for bread, And lemons are orange, and lavender’s red. Now touch the air softly, swing gently the broom. I’ll love you till windows are all of a room; And the table is laid, And the table is bare, And the ceiling reposes on bottomless air. I’ll love you ‘till heaven rips the stars from his coat, And the moon rows away in a glass-bottomed boat; And Orion steps down like a river below, And earth is ablaze, and the oceans aglow. So touch the air softly, and swing the broom high. We will dust the grey mountains, and sweep the blue sky: And I’ll love you as long as the furrow the plough, As however is ever, and ever is now.
