Day 2 Debrief
Sunday 14th June - Loft Social (Stockport) 12:00 - 17:00 Join us for a casual get together to debrief on the big day, get a chance to say goodbye if you're travelling back home, or just have a few drinks to continue on the celebrations! We've booked out the whole of Loft Social for this time and there will be food provided, live music and games to play! They've got archery, deck shuffleboard, pétanque, curling & more. Feel free to bring your kids along too! Loft is in the centre of Stockport (near the Market Hall) so there's plenty of car parks (details in FAQs) and Stockport train station nearby.
The Wedding Venue
Both the ceremony & the reception will be held at The Swettenham Arms (Swettenham, Congleton, CW12 2LF). Once you get nearby, we recommend following (the very clear) signage for The Swettenham Arms instead of your sat nav as there is a very narrow road with a ford nearby that Google sometimes likes to suggest!
A bit about the wedding day...
We're hoping for good weather so we can make the most of the venue's beautiful outdoor space, including holding our ceremony in the lavender field. As much of the day may be spent outside, we'd recommend keeping the weather in mind when planning your outfit/shoes! If the weather has other plans, don't worry — we'll simply move the celebrations inside.
Cranage Estate
If you’ve confirmed that you’d like to stay at the De Vere Cranage Estate using our agreed wedding rate, we’ve sent you a message confirming your booking. If you haven’t received confirmation but would still like a room, please let us know as soon as possible. Standard Room: £135 per night (bed & breakfast) Deluxe Room: £175 per night (bed & breakfast) These rates are fixed and will remain the same even if the hotel’s prices increase. Payment will be taken at check-in, although please note that bookings made under our wedding rate are non-refundable. If you’d prefer more flexibility, you’re welcome to book directly with the hotel using one of their free-cancellation rates, although these won’t include our discounted price. Check-in is from 3pm, giving you enough time to drop off your bags before heading to the venue. Early check-in is available for an additional £15. Alternatively, the hotel has confirmed that guests are welcome to use the gym and pool facilities to get ready if preferred.
Taxis
For those staying at the De Vere Cranage Estate hotel, we’ve arranged taxi shuttles between The Swettenham Arms and the hotel. The service will run from 11:30pm, with the last scheduled taxis departing at 1:00am, at a cost of £4 per person. There will be an additional taxi run at the end of the night if needed so no one is left behind! If you would like to head off earlier, or are staying elsewhere, we suggest booking your taxi in advance as the venue is in a rural area. Recommended taxi companies can be found in the FAQs.
