Our Love Story
It all started with a hammer, a few picture frames, and a shared sense of humor. After moving to Georgia to be closer to her niece and nephew, Kari was settling into her new home—and her blank walls needed some love. So for their very first date, she invited David over to help hang up pictures and art. What could have been an ordinary afternoon quickly turned into something special. Between measuring frames and cracking jokes, bonding over their shared professions of being physician assistants, they laughed... a lot. And they've been laughing together ever since. Their connection grew through simple joys and shared passions—like hiking in the great outdoors, trying new recipes in the kitchen (Kari bakes, David grills), and always finding ways to be silly together. Whether they're making dinner or painting a room, they somehow manage to turn everyday moments into memories. Together, they’ve traveled to places like the Redwoods, Chicago, Tampa, Fort Worth, Chattanooga, and their favorite getaway—Amelia Island. It was there, on a quiet beach in January, that David planned a romantic proposal with an acoustic guitarist, a cozy blanket, and champagne. Kari may have suspected what was coming (she’s pretty sharp like that), but the love and thoughtfulness behind the moment made it unforgettable. Family has always been at the heart of their story. David quickly bonded with Kari’s family, and Kari with David's family. Kari and David love going to the gym together, diving into home improvement and art projects, and planning for all the adventures the future holds. Whether they're traveling to a new destination or coming up with new recipes around the kitchen, they’re happiest when they're side by side. They’ve built a life full of laughter, love, and a little bit of sawdust and sweat—and they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you.
