Our Love Story
Some love stories start with a spark — ours started with a splash. Although we’d somehow managed to miss each other for years — despite sharing mutual friends and paths that constantly crisscrossed — fate had its own timeline. It finally brought us together 9 years ago at a concert, where Lauren very gracefully poured an entire G&T over her own head. Not to be outdone, Darryn later made an unforgettable first impression by falling face-first into a flower bed. From that night on, something just clicked. Darryn tried to only be “friends” for a little while — until Lauren convinced him to take her on a real date. Since then, we’ve been inseparable. Together, we’ve built a home full of love, laughter, and often muddy paw prints, thanks to Charlie and Mila. We share a deep love for the outdoors, road trips, and spontaneous adventures — with our hearts always happiest under a starlit sky. Last year, in our favourite camping spot in the Pilanesberg, Darryn asked Lauren to marry him. Spoiler alert: she said yes. We are so excited to say “I do” in the green vineyards of Stellenbosch in our 10th anniversary year, surrounded by all the people we love. This next chapter is simply a continuation of the life we already love — and we can’t wait to celebrate it with all of you. #finallywright
