Our Love Story
Cormac and Deb first crossed paths as neighbours in Carmen Lawn. Deb was friends with Cormac’s next-door neighbours, and a few well-placed enquiries led to an introduction. From there, an incredible journey began, filled with lots of love, laughter, adventures, and plenty of travels.
Among their many trips together - Deb and Cormac have spent most of their time down in picturesque Derrynane. It was on one of their trips down here last October, while taking in the breathtaking views over the Coomakista mountains, that Cormac got down on one knee, leading us to where we will marry on 10th October - in the beautiful surrounds of Horetown House!

Wedding Party
Meet our family and friends who will be by our side on the Big Day!
Derbhil
Derbhil is Cormac's sister and our celebrant for the wedding. As a lawyer she is an expert in handling difficult cases - growing up with Cormac provided excellent preparation for this. Close in age, they spent their childhood treating minor disagreements like international incidents before eventually becoming great pals.
She's always looked out for him and we are delighted she is doing the honours on the big day!
Ciara
A lifelong friend of Debbie’s, the day Ciara was born is one of Debbie’s first memories! Debbie and Ciara spent their childhood playing every imaginary game possible and now love spending time together chatting about nothing and everything! Debbie was Ciara’s Maid of Honour in 2022 and is thrilled to have Ciara by her side returning the favour on 10th October!
Darragh
Darragh is Cormac's brother and his Best Man.
Loves his early morning sea swims and takes going for a walk very seriously. Despite this, he is actually great craic!
Always brings great energy and is murder for a sing song - expecting the Auld Triangle to be jingle jangling at some point over the festivities.
Sarah
Meeting in Ashton in first year, Debbie and Sarah quickly became inseparable, often having hours long phone calls to dissect the school day as soon as 6pm hit and landline calls were free! Sarah was a regular on the Booker family holidays to Spain and Cormac now likens their friendship to when an unstoppable force meets an immoveable object.
Colm
Col, Cormac's brother, has always been a wise old head and a great sounding board. Loves his choons and likes to boogey. We hope to see him spinning some records at some point over the celebrations.
Katie
Best Friends since they were 7, Debbie and Katie’s friendship withstood Katie’s family move to Carlow, with the mum’s often driving to meet halfway to rid themselves of a daughter or collect an additional one for school holidays! Debbie and Katie’s friendship continues today with weekly phone calls and feeling like they’ve never been apart when they do get to spend time together, true friends for life!
John
John 'Redz' Redmond is a school pal of Cormac's — a true gent who has displayed remarkable patience in putting up with Cormac and, quite frankly, all the O'Riordans over the years. :)
Rebecca
Friends since their days in Ashton, Rebecca and Debbie studied Finance in UCC, spending an amazing 6 months on work experience in Dublin, with many holidays and trips together dispersed throughout the years! Rebecca is Debbie's voice of reason friend and her go to for advise when the going gets tough...Rebecca knew a good thing when she saw it and was the encouragement Debbie needed in meeting Cormac!
Steve
Steve is a buddy of Cormac's for many years and one time house mate in Carmen Lawn. A messer. Often in disguise, but easy to spot.
Yvonne
Debbie and Yvonne met on their J1 in California in 2008 – bonding over cups of tea every evening, sitting out on the footpath, putting the world to rights together! Yvonne is Debbie’s chicken soup for the soul on their daily calls whilst driving to work!
