Our Story
We first met as flatmates back in 2015 at university. We quickly became friends, with Cynthia introducing Charlie to Korean BBQ and Chinese culture. One day, out of the blue, we decided to join the York skydiving society and jump out of a plane together.
We stayed friends even though Charlie moved to Cambridge the next year. Cynthia visited Charlie in Cambridge, and we went to a party together. We're still arguing about who made the first move, but one thing lead to another, and we found ourselves in a relationship. Eight years later, here we are, still going strong.
Being an international couple hasn’t always been smooth sailing, but we’re incredibly grateful for the love and support from our families and friends along the way.
Over the years, we’ve shared countless adventures. We both love new experiences and have traveled from the UK to France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Tanzania, China, the U.S., and Turkey. Cynthia's mum always said that traveling together is the ultimate test for any relationship, and she was definitely right!
In December 2023, Charlie was finally brave enough to propose to Cynthia on a boat in the canals of Amsterdam. Cynthia said: Yes!
