Our story
We met back in June 2013 at the engagement party of two of our friends. Ever so patiently, Ash waited three days before reaching out on Facebook – yes, back then that was the social media platform of choice – only to be told Ada was emotionally unavailable. But things have a funny way of working themselves out... Here we are, all these years later, building a life full of love and shared adventures.
We’re excited to start this next chapter together, with all of you by our side.
Getting to the Dolomites
The major international airports that are closest to our venue are in Venice, Milan and Munich.
Smaller alternatives include Verona, Bergamo, Bologna, Treviso, and Innsbruck.
From the airport, we recommend renting a car – this would give you the most flexibility to travel around and enjoy the beautiful alpine region. Be mindful of the insurance policy if you book through a platform (best is to book directly via the rental company's site) and if you rent a car in Germany or Austria, make sure that it is allowed to drive it to another country.
Train or coach services are an alternative, but one or more changes may be needed. You can also book a car transfer to your destination (best is to ask your accommodation to help you arrange this).
Once in the Alto Adige/ South Tyrol area, there is an extensive network of local buses and it's also possible to arrange local taxis.
See the links below for some useful websites.
Accommodation suggestions
There are plenty of accommodation options near the Funivia Plan de Corones cable car station – from cozy B&Bs and apartments, to boutique and larger hotels, there’s something to suit every preference.
Keep in mind that some accommodations in the area may not be listed on booking platforms such as Booking.com and may have their own websites instead. We therefore recommend using Google Maps to explore.
Below, you’ll find a few suggestions we’ve gathered. As we haven’t secured preferential rates, feel free to choose from the list below or any other accommodation that suits you best. To ensure that we can get everyone to and from the venue on time on the day of the wedding, we ask that you aim to stay within a 20-minute drive of Funivia Plan de Corones.
We encourage you to contact your chosen accommodation a few months in advance in order to secure your room(s).
Our favourite spots
Although we’re not from South Tyrol or even from Italy, we’ve always felt a deep connection to the mountains. When we visited for the first time in 2023, we immediately fell in love with everything that this incredible region has to offer – the breath-taking landscapes, the warm and welcoming people, and of course, the fantastic food and wine.
In the map linked below, we’ve shared some of the places that left a lasting impression on us. From stunning mountain peaks perfect for hiking to crystal-clear lakes, charming alpine towns, and unforgettable dining experiences, these are spots that truly capture the magic of the Dolomites. If you’re planning a trip in the region before or after our wedding, we can’t recommend these places enough.
In addition, we've linked two resources which have helped us plan our trips. Take your time to explore, soak in the beauty of nature, and immerse yourself in the rich culture of South Tyrol. Enjoy your adventure!
Capture and share
Professional photographers will be there to capture the highlights of the day. If you do not wish to be included in their photos, please let us know in advance.
We’d also be thrilled to see the celebration through your eyes, so please share the special moments you've captured! The link to upload your photos can be found below and will be available at the venue.
