From the moment we met, there was a sparkle unlike anything we’d experienced before. We were at a phase in life where our experiences had shaped us into the people we needed to be for each other — understanding the value of connection, unwavering partnership and creating a life filled with joy, laughter, adventure and meaning. On our first trip out of town together, we danced the night away in New Orleans on New Year’s Eve, and in many ways, that city and music became part of our story from the very beginning. Since then, we’ve traveled all over creating new adventures, but we always find ourselves drawn back to NOLA. It’s where we’ve had our fortunes told, jammed out at concerts, listened to music pouring into the streets and had a poet write a custom poem just for us. Music has always been woven into that story too. The wedding pays homage to a candlelit Taylor Swift string quartet the couple attended for Jennifer’s birthday, which showed us how powerfully music and candlelight could transform a moment into a memory. It later became part of Josh’s proposal in Costa Rica. Every adventure, every song and every moment along the way led us here — to a love that feels like home and a future we cannot wait to share.

Themed 'Soundtrack Under a French Quarter Midnight,' it will be a unique evening around the historic Jackson Square. Filled with love, laughter and entertainment, we will celebrate the union with many personal touches and subtle reminders of the adventures we’ve had and the many we have to come. New Orleans has always felt like an extension of our story – from throwing beads from Bourbon Street balconies at Mardi Gras to dancing away at a Journey concert or just spending a morning by the river eating beignets and people watching. There is something magical about the way New Orleans brings people together through music, fun and unforgettable moments. And that’s the experience we want to create with our guests. As we ring in the New Year, we cannot imagine a more meaningful place to begin this next chapter by going back to the start. This time is about togetherness and celebration surrounded by the people we love most – under candlelight, with music, filled with joy and a little bit of New Orleans magic woven into every moment.

New Orleans is a vibrant, late-night, adult-oriented destination and we have planned our wedding weekend with that lively atmosphere in mind. While we love your little ones, we kindly request that all wedding events, including New Year’s Day lunch, be adults-only. We appreciate your understanding!

New Year’s Eve Dress Code: Festive Formal Tuxedos or dark suits; floor-length gowns or elegant shorter dresses are equally welcome. Style Note: Our celebration leans into modern romance with a touch of New Year’s glamour. We invite you to wear what makes you feel most confident and beautiful, whether that’s a gown or a shorter look. Rich tones, luxurious textures, and a touch of shimmer are encouraged with styling that feels intentional and evening-appropriate. Think elevated and polished with fabrics like satin, velvet, silk, sequins or metallic accents.

The Cabildo is a 200+ year old building with a room that overlooks Jackson Square and the historic St. Louis Cathedral. The Cabildo was the site of the Louisiana Purchase transfer ceremonies in 1803, which finalized the United States’ acquisition of the Louisiana Territory and doubled the size of the fledgling nation. The Cabildo served as the center of New Orleans government until 1853 when it became the headquarters of the Louisiana State Supreme Court. In 1994, it opened as a museum with comprehensive exhibits on Louisiana’s early history that wedding guests will be able to visit as part of the ceremony plans while listening to the sounds of a string duet.

On June 6, 1890, Andrew Jackson sat poised upon his horse in Jackson Square as he oversaw the laying of the cornerstone of the original brewery building. In his honor, it was originally named Jackson Bohemian Brewery. The company closed in 1974 as the oldest brewer in New Orleans and the only brewer to survive Prohibition. It remains today as a historical landmark with the company name still adorning the façade and the plant has transformed into the newest and hottest attraction in town. Located along the banks of the Mississippi River, The Jaxson’s 5,100 square feet of upscale entertaining space includes a large outdoor terrace perfect for watching fireworks shooting off the barges on the river at midnight.
